Skill Level: Beginner and up
Class Description: We will experiment with both flat and 3D shapes while getting acquainted with needle felting tools and techniques, perhaps creating a hedgehog or bear from the magazine or another creature from your imagination. Cookie cutters make great templates for embellishments and stand alone shapes. We will and experimenting, as we learn how to control the needles and fibers after a discussion of what needle felting is, how it works and some basic shaping instruction.
Pattern: None or one of your choice
What skills you should have: Beginner
What skills you will learn: What is needle felting, ways to use it, how wool behaves and why we can do this crazy thing, how to correctly use the tools without breaking them or hurting ourselves.
