A Scarf for Expanded Learning - Gems on the Beach
Gain new and essential knitting skills with this fun project that will introduce you to 6 new skills - basic lace pattern, i-cord edges, i-cord bind off, beading, grafting and Judy's Magic Cast On used as a provisional cast on.
Class is 4 - 2 hour sessions
Materials:
- Pattern: Gems on the Beach. Pattern is included in cost of class.
- 1 hank of Anzula Lunaris or 435yds of fingering weight yarn.
- 270 6/0 Miyuki seed beads (this typically translates to needing 2 – 20gm tubes. You will use approx. 1 ¼ tubes of beads.)Available at the Bead Gallery near the Reno Costco.
- .75mm steel crochet hook or beading wire for placing beads.
- #US 7 straight or 24” circular needle plus a spare circular or interchangeable cord with stoppers and a tip in the same size.
- Bead Smith small bead mat (optional)
- tapestry or darning needle
- Stitch markers (optional)
- Waste yarn (optional)
| Requirements: | At a minimum, you must know how to knit, purl, yarn over, k2tog, and ssk. |
