Instructor Bio: I taught myself to knit and crochet when I was a teenager, and taught at a local knit shop for years before life started moving me around. Lace quickly became my absolute favorite, and I can fix just about ANYTHING lace. However, there are only so many lace shawls I can make then never wear, so I became a jack of all stitch types. Crochet is fantastic for shaping and stuffies, and can handle the finer details of delicate jewelry, but knit has the best drape and such a variety of different techniques. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is learning how each person knits, and finding ways for improvement based on existing techniques. Fun Fact: I'm a serial hobbyist. My motto is "if I can draw it, I can make it. In just about any medium" It's a real problem, and I have SO MANY crafting supplies at home. Leatherwork, knitting, crochet, sewing (bags, costumes, period accurate reproductions), cross stitch, jewelry-making, stamping/soldering, baking, building automatons, others that I have probably forgotten - my "stash" is a real problem!
