The Plucky Knitter Legacy DK is grown, spun, processed, and dyed in the US from 100% Shaniko wool. Shaniko wool comes from Merino and Merino/Rambouillet sheep raised in the Western US and is the only fully traceable, certified wool in North America!

The Shaniko flock is raised and tended to on a small collection of ranches, most of which have been family-owned and operated for generations. The passion for the land and sheep that these ranchers have is expressed in their efforts to achieve and maintain their Responsible Wool Standard certifications.
