Malabrigo Rios - Zodiac Collection

A favorite with our customers! Rios is a light worsted weight yarn with medium to high twist energy in a beautiful array of hand dyed colors. Soft, strong, and washable, this 4-ply  is our go-to yarn! The plies help resist pilling and the washability makes it fantastic for frequently-worn garments, housewares, children and baby clothes. And like all Malabrigo yarns, Rios is super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear! Spun from premium superwash merino, it comes in an array of watercolor pastels, semi-solid, and variegated colorways.

This collection draws inspiration from two of her major interests: tarot cards and astrology. Each color corresponds to one of the twelve signs of the zodiac, using concepts or key aspects of the personalities popularly attributed to people born under that sign. 

Great for: Accessories, garments, baby and kids items, housewares, toys, cables, textured stitches, colorwork.

Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins vary within bags and from bag to bag. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.

Yarn may seem stretched out after washing, but if allowed to dry and fluffed regularly the wools natural crimp will return the garment to desired size.
