Class Name: Learn to Knit Continental style – Oh Helen scarf
Class Date: Saturday April 20th
Class Hours: 1:00-3:00pm
Instructor: Terry King
Class Cost: $35
Skill Level: Experienced beginner and up
Class Description: Being able to knit with either hand or even both at the same time comes in very handy for doing work that requires holding more than one strand of yarn, such as double knitting and fair isle. Learning to do things with our opposite hand helps to keep our brains healthy! It is also very useful should your right hand need a rest or becomes injured. In this class you will begin to learn to knit Continental style, holding the yarn in your left hand and picking rather than throwing. Simple mesh pattern is a great way to learn Continental because your gauge will not be consistent without practice. We will knit a quick summer type scarf to practice.
Note: This is NOT a beginning knitting class.
Pattern: Oh Helen by Knits with Penguins Designs (free on Ravelry)
