Class Name:  Beginner Socks

Class Date: Saturday December 29th

Class Hours:  10:00am-12:00pm

Instructor:  Terry King

Class Description:  Learn the basics of sock knitting with nearly instant gratification by starting off with worsted weight yarn and larger double pointed needles! Basic socks have a standard formula, just the numbers change for the different sizes and gauges. In this class we will make an ankle high sock so we can get right into the most challenging part for beginners, the heel.

If you started a sock in the previous session and need to move forward you may join this class.

Material Needed:

  • 1 ball of Cascade 220 Superwash wool or other DK or light worsted weight SUPERWASH wool.
  • US #6 Double Pointed needles or size to get gauge. You may use other needle techniques if you are familiar with them. Please let me know so I can bring a modified pattern for you.
  • Stitch markers and typical notions.

Pattern: 9728 Beginner Socks by Diane Soucy
