Skill Level: Beginner and up

Class Description: Hats are a great project for beginners. Choose one of these simple yet stylish hats.

Knit Night Hat by Judy Marples
Barley by Tin Can Knits
Classic WWII Watch Cap

Material Needed:

  • 1 hank Malabrigo Rios yarn or 200 yds of worsted weight yarn
  • US #6 and #8 – 16” circular needles and #8 double pointed needles (for Barley or Knit Night hat.)
  • US #7 – 16″ circular and #7 double pointed needles (for WWII Watch cap.)
  • Tapestry or darning needle
  • Stitch markers

Skills you should have: You should know how to cast on, knit and purl.

Skills you will learn: Joining in the round, knitting in the round, decreasing, and knitting with double pointed needles.

Homework: Please purchase materials and have yarn wound before class.
