March 21st Simple Brioche Cowl

Class Name: Simple Brioche Cowl

Class Date: Thursday March 21st

Class Hours: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Instructor: Terry King

Class Cost: $35

Skill Level: Experienced Beginner to Intermediate

Class Description: This simple, quick to knit cowl is a great introduction to knitting in Brioche stitch! Plus this lovely tubularly constructed alpaca yarn – Aero is a dream to knit with! It is light as a feather, doesn’t split or snarl, and is wonderful next to the skin. This pattern is of my own design and I was able to knit it from cast on to weaving in ends in only 3 ½ hours! So you will be off to a great start in the class and wearing your cowl by the weekend depending on the time you have available to knit!

Material Needed:

  • 1 Ball Berroco Aero in your choice of color
  • US# 13 32” or 40” circular needle
  • US# 11 needle to use for holding together with the #13 for cast on.
  • 1 Stitch marker large enough to fit on the needle
  • 1 locking stitch marker to mark the right side of your work

Pattern: Will be provided

Skills you should have: You must know how to do a long tail cast on, how to knit, purl, and yarn over.

Skills you will learn: You will learn how to read & work the single color brioche stitch pattern, in the round.

Homework: Please purchase yarn and need materials before the day of the class. This class starts as soon as the store opens.
